L'orario di lavoro per i tirocinanti del programma è solitamente dal lunedì al venerdì, dalle 11:00 alle 20:00. I fine settimana sono liberi per visitare la città, riposarsi e rilassarsi.

Ruoli e responsabilità degli stagisti
Come tirocinante presso il programma di odontoiatria in Grecia, avrai l'opportunità di osservare e seguire le procedure odontoiatriche insieme a dentisti, infermieri e altro personale. Parteciperai anche alla routine quotidiana, assistendo a vari casi e specializzazioni.
A seconda della disponibilità dei pazienti, potrai assistere a diversi casi odontoiatrici, come Igiene Dentale Pubblica, Endodonzia, Chirurgia Maxillo-Facciale, Chirurgia Orale, Ortodonzia, Pediatria, Parodontologia, Protesi Dentaria e Radiologia. Principalmente, i tirocinanti seguiranno i professionisti e ne rispetteranno i programmi giornalieri.
I partecipanti potranno immergersi nel lavoro quotidiano di cliniche odontoiatriche molto frequentate, ottenendo una visione in prima fila dell'assistenza ai pazienti in azione. Attraverso un'attenta osservazione e l'interazione con professionisti qualificati, vedrete come i team odontoiatrici collaborano per fornire trattamenti di alta qualità e incentrati sul paziente.
Gli elementi chiave del programma includono:
- Affiancare dentisti e altri specialisti odontoiatrici durante le visite e le sedute di trattamento.
- Alla scoperta degli strumenti, delle tecnologie e delle tecniche che stanno plasmando l'assistenza odontoiatrica moderna.
- Seguire il flusso di lavoro clinico per comprendere come gli studi medici gestiscono le operazioni e coordinano l'assistenza ai pazienti.
- Esplorare le molteplici specializzazioni dell'odontoiatria per acquisire una conoscenza completa della professione.
Si tratta di un programma di affiancamento e i partecipanti non eseguiranno procedure odontoiatriche pratiche. L'enfasi è posta sull'osservazione e sull'apprendimento da professionisti qualificati.

Gli stagisti in Grecia devono arrivare di domenica, poiché l'alloggio è coperto dalla domenica sera precedente la data di inizio di lunedì. All'arrivo, gli stagisti saranno accolti e trasferiti all'alloggio.
Orientamento
Prima del tuo arrivo, riceverai un'e-mail di benvenuto con informazioni sulla città e sulla sede ospitante. Riceverai anche una mappa interattiva con i luoghi più importanti. Creeremo un gruppo WhatsApp dove potrai fare domande prima del tuo arrivo e durante il tirocinio. Al tuo arrivo, ti forniremo informazioni generali sull'appartamento e su come utilizzare i mezzi pubblici.
Alloggio e pasti
Gli appartamenti sono completamente arredati e dotati di tutto il necessario, come elettrodomestici, utensili da cucina e persino una lavatrice. Condividerai l'appartamento con 1-4 stagisti dello stesso sesso, provenienti da programmi diversi. Ogni appartamento può avere letti singoli o matrimoniali, con un totale di 1-3 stanze. Condividerai un bagno, una cucina e un soggiorno in comune. Tutti gli appartamenti si trovano in zone residenziali vicino alla metropolitana e a supermercati, ristoranti e bar. Ci vogliono circa 30 minuti di metropolitana per raggiungere la sede ospitante.
L'ultima notte di soggiorno è il venerdì sera dell'ultima settimana, lasciando gli stagisti liberi di partire il sabato. È possibile prenotare in anticipo notti aggiuntive, su richiesta, soggette a disponibilità.
I pasti non sono inclusi nel tirocinio e i tirocinanti hanno accesso a supermercati a prezzi accessibili per acquistare le provviste oppure possono mangiare fuori e gustare la famosa cucina greca.

Eligibility and Preperation

Who can apply for the program?

Interns must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the program. Pre Medical students, Medical and Nursing students can apply for this internship/elective. Participants joining the Medical internship program need to provide additional documents such as Resume/CV, Passport copy etc, details of which will be provided. You must be physically fit and in good health at the time of joining the program.

Yes, students should consult their doctor or travel clinic for recommended vaccinations before travel.
Accommodation and Living

Can I know more about the accommodation and food arrangements?
-
Interns are provided accommodation in fully furnished apartments.The apartments are fully furnished with everything you need like appliances, kitchenware, and even a washing machine. You'll share the apartment with 1 to 4 interns of the same gender from different programs. Each apartment might have single beds or double beds, with 1 to 3 rooms in total. You'll share a common bathroom, kitchen, and living room. All apartments are in residential areas near the subway and close to supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes. It takes about 30 minutes by subway to get to the host site.
The last night of the accommodation is the Friday night of the final week, leaving interns free to depart on Saturday. Extra nights of accommodation can be arranged in advance, if requested, and are subject to availability.
Meals are not included in the internship and interns have access to affordable supermarkets to purchase supplies or can eat out and enjoy the world famous Greek cuisine.

Would I have free time during my program? Can I do sightseeing during my program?

Interns have afternoons & weekends free to explore and make their own plans. There is a lot to explore in the city of Athens as well as other beautiful parts of Greece.

What kind of hospital/clinical experience will I get?

Placements are primarily observation-based but tailored to student level (pre-med, nursing, or medical). Students shadow professionals in departments such as surgery, pediatrics, emergency, physiotherapy, OBGYN, and more. All students need to give preference of 3-4 departments of their choice. Depending on the preference and internship/elective duration department allocation shall be done.

Can I perform medical procedures?

Due to local regulations and ethical standards, students will not perform hands-on procedures. However, they will observe, learn, and gain insight into patient care, local health systems, and medical practices.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and destination. We provide guidance during the pre-departure process.

Is airport transfer included?
-
Participants are provided pickup from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH). Interns are required to arrive on the Sunday between 9am and 6pm. Pickups outside this time frame can be arranged at an additional charge.

How do I get around during the program?

Interns in Athens use local public transport such as taxis and metro train for commuting between the accommodation and hospital placement.

What are the recommended inexpensive airline options to fly to Greece?

For intra-Europe travel, the cheapest are Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyJet, Volotea, and sometimes Aegean if you need a bag. For long-haul, the budget-friendly options are Scoot (from Singapore), Pegasus (via Istanbul), and TAP (via Lisbon), or just combine a cheap long-haul into Europe with a low-cost European carrier for the last leg.

We partner with modern hospitals where English-speaking staff are available. All students are required to have travel insurance that covers medical care abroad.In case of any emergency, the local team will provide all necessary support and assistance to you.
