What Med Trips is all about
Med Trips arranges hands-on medical electives and clinical placements abroad for healthcare students — built on the Impact Explorers Group’s 17+ years of placing students safely in hospitals and clinics around the world.
Real clinical experience, abroad
Med Trips is the medical-electives arm of the Impact Explorers Group. We arrange supervised clinical placements abroad for medical, nursing, dentistry, physiotherapy, midwifery, radiology, pharmacy and pre-medical students — giving you hands-on exposure in real hospitals and clinics, with structured learning and dependable support throughout.
Today we place students across 12 countries in 9 specialties — from teaching hospitals and government clinics to specialist departments. Most are at medical, nursing or allied-health school, or planning their application, and join us for anything from two weeks to several months.
We work with trusted hospitals, clinics and university partners worldwide — many of them long-standing relationships — with a cross-cultural team and dedicated coordinators at every destination, so your elective is safe, well-organised and genuinely valuable.

From a single placement to thousands
The group was founded to bridge the gap between students and communities abroad, placing its first participants on a project in India.
Starting from India and Nepal, programmes extended worldwide — to Peru, Costa Rica and Ecuador, and African countries like Ghana, South Africa and Tanzania.
The group joined the WYSE Travel Confederation and attended its international conference in Spain — raising the bar for responsible student travel.
Won the prestigious GoAbroad Innovation Award for technological advancement, letting participants manage their trip from any device.
A major milestone — more than 10,000 students placed within a span of eight years.
A decade in the industry, with new structured placement and experience programmes introduced.
Expanding the overseas footprint, a UK company and office were established to serve UK and EU students.
The group joined the Year Out Group (YOG) in the UK, an association of approved gap-year and placement organisations.
