Praktikanten werden in privaten Krankenhäusern mittlerer Preisklasse in Jaipur untergebracht, die sich in der Regel im Umkreis von 5–8 km von der Unterkunft befinden. Diese Krankenhäuser verfügen über 50–100 Betten und sind mit Vollzeitärzten, Krankenschwestern und Hilfsteams besetzt, die eine kontinuierliche Patientenversorgung gewährleisten.

Das Praktikum basiert größtenteils auf Beobachtung. Jeder Praktikant wird während der Praktikumszeit im Krankenhaus hospitieren, beobachten und grundlegende Assistenzarbeiten übernehmen . Die Praktikanten arbeiten in einem Krankenhaus mit umfassendem Serviceangebot, das sehr gute Einrichtungen und Infrastruktur für die Patientenversorgung und -behandlung bietet. Das Hospitationsprogramm hilft den Studenten, durch die Beobachtung der Arbeit des Ärzte- und Pflegeteams Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse zu entwickeln.

Praktikanten des medizinischen Praktikumsprogramms in Jaipur müssen täglich einem festen Tagesablauf folgen. Beachten Sie, dass jeder Praktikumsplatz ein anderes Tempo und einen anderen Zeitplan hat, sodass der Zeitplan manchmal leicht abweichen kann. Sonntag: Ankunft in Jaipur
Montag: Orientierungsveranstaltung + Erkundungstour durch die Umgebung. Die Orientierungsveranstaltung wird vom lokalen Koordinator durchgeführt und behandelt Themenbereiche wie Sicherheit, Kultur, Sprache, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Verhalten, Essen und andere Vorschläge zu Aktivitäten in Jaipur.

Arbeitszeiten: (je nach Wahl des Krankenhauses) – 9:00–14:00 Uhr oder 10:00–16:00 Uhr
Schichten: je nach Kapazität oder Rotation des Studenten/Praktikanten.
Abhängig von den Arbeitszeiten des jeweiligen Arztes und dem Krankenhausbereich, in dem der Praktikant eingesetzt wird, können die Arbeitszeiten und -tage variieren. Ihre Geduld und Flexibilität hinsichtlich dieser Arbeitszeit- und Zeitverschiebungen sind sehr willkommen.
Der gleiche Platzierungsplan gilt ab der zweiten Woche
Wochenenden: Frei, um die Stadt Jaipur zu erkunden oder an andere Orte wie Agra, Pushkar, Udaipur oder Delhi zu reisen.

Den Praktikanten ist es gestattet, das lokale Personal zu unterstützen, Hospitationen durchzuführen und den Arbeitsprozess zu beobachten. Unter keinen Umständen dürfen die Praktikanten invasive Behandlungen durchführen.
Je nach Wunsch der Praktikanten kann das Programm einen Besuch in einem staatlichen Krankenhaus, einen Tag in einer Slum-Klinik und einen Gesundheitschecktag für unterprivilegierte Kinder beinhalten.

Praktikanten müssen bei Praktikumsbeginn mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein. Als Praktikant sollten Sie aufgeschlossen und flexibel sein und in einem neuen und anderen Umfeld arbeiten. Medizinpraktikanten müssen vor Beginn des Programms ein polizeiliches Führungszeugnis, einen Lebenslauf, eine Passkopie sowie weitere Dokumente und Nachweise zu ihren Qualifikationen vorlegen. Medizinstudenten, Medizinstudenten, Krankenpflegestudenten und Pflegehelfer können am Programm teilnehmen. Alle Praktikanten müssen während ihres Aufenthalts in den Krankenhäusern professionelle Kleidung tragen.

Flughafentransfer
Praktikanten werden von einem Mitglied des lokalen Koordinationsteams in Jaipur vom internationalen Flughafen Jaipur abgeholt. Teilnehmer, die sich bereits im Land befinden, können auch vom Bahnhof Jaipur oder vom internationalen Flughafen Jaipur abgeholt werden. Dies muss im Voraus vereinbart werden. Wir organisieren auch Ihren Rücktransport zum Flughafen, wenn das Projekt abgeschlossen ist.
Unterkunft
Während deines Medizinpraktikums in Jaipur kannst du in einer unserer Praktikantenunterkünfte im Norden von Jaipur oder bei einer Gastfamilie wohnen. Die Unterkünfte sind gepflegt und sauber und bieten dir ein Gefühl von Zuhause. Die Praktikantenunterkunft ist mit WLAN, gefiltertem Trinkwasser, Geysiren, Klimaanlagen, Waschmaschine, westlichen Toiletten und Etagenbetten ausgestattet. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in der Nähe von Banken, Geldautomaten, Wechselstuben, Restaurants, Cafés und Einkaufspassagen.
Gastfamilien sind einheimische indische Familien, die Sie gerne bei sich zu Hause aufnehmen. Die Zimmer sind Doppelzimmer und die Gastgeber verfügen über gemeinsames WLAN, Kühlschrank, Gefrierschrank, Durchlauferhitzer, Waschmaschine und gereinigtes Wasser.
Alle Einsatzorte liegen etwa 20 bis 30 Minuten von den Wohnorten entfernt und wir helfen den Praktikanten bei der Nutzung lokaler Transport-Apps wie Uber.

Am Tag nach Ihrer Ankunft bietet Ihnen unser Personal eine halbtägige Orientierungsveranstaltung an. Wir behandeln Themen wie Kultur, Begrüßung, Standorte, Transport usw.
Mahlzeiten
Indisches Essen ist weltweit für seine vielfältigen Aromen, Farben und Düfte bekannt. Während Ihres Aufenthalts im Intern Home erhalten Sie ein Frühstück zum Selbstbedienen sowie frisch zubereitetes Mittag- und Abendessen. Unsere Köche arbeiten von zu Hause aus mit uns zusammen und bereiten Mahlzeiten für die Praktikanten zu, die sie anschließend in unsere Unterkunft liefern. Nachfolgend finden Sie eine Auswahl der Mahlzeiten, die Sie erwarten können.
Frühstück zum Selbstbedienen – Brot, Tee (Chai), Marmelade, Butter, Haferbrei, Poha, Eier usw.
Mittag- und Abendessen – Dal (Linsen), Gemüse, Reis, Roti (indisches Brot), Joghurt und möglicherweise eine Art Curry werden angeboten.
Praktikanten, die bei Privatpersonen wohnen, bekommen ein traditionelleres indisches Frühstück wie Poha, Paratha, Poori-Sabji, Toast usw., während Mittag- und Abendessen dasselbe traditionelle vegetarische Essen sind.

In ihrer Freizeit können Praktikanten die lokalen Märkte und Restaurants in Jaipur besuchen und die verschiedenen indischen Küchen ausprobieren. An den Wochenenden erkunden Praktikanten Jaipur, besuchen Agra, Delhi oder fahren nach Udaipur oder Pushkar.

Who can apply for the program?

Interns must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the program. Pre Medical students, Medical and Nursing students can apply for this internship/elective. Participants joining the Medical internship program need to provide additional documents such as Resume/CV, Passport copy etc, details of which will be provided. You must be physically fit and in good health at the time of joining the program.

Participants in Delhi are provided accommodation at a conveniently located hostel in South Delhi. Located at just a five-minute walk from a Metro station in South Delhi, the hostel offers easy access to iconic landmarks like the Lotus Temple and Khan market.
The hostel has spacious dormitories and private rooms that are perfect for a cozy stay. Whether you're lounging in our cozy common area or enjoying a hearty meal at our in-house cafe, every aspect of your stay is designed for comfort and convenience. Additionally, the hostel has an open outdoor area, which is ideal for connecting with fellow travelers.
Two meals a day are provided to the interns.

What kind of hospital/clinical experience will I get?

Placements are primarily observation-based but tailored to student level (pre-med, nursing, or medical). Students shadow professionals in departments such as surgery, medicine, nursing, emergency, orthopedics, OBGYN, and more. All students need to give preference of 3-4 departments of their choice. Depending on the preference and internship/elective duration department allocation shall be done.

Due to local regulations and ethical standards, students will not perform hands-on procedures. However, they will observe, learn, and gain insight into patient care, local health systems, and medical practices.

Students joining the Jaipur Internship program can directly arrive to Jaipur International Airport as well or take a short connecting flight from Delhi to Jaipur.

How safe is India and Delhi in particular?

India is a country of diverse cultures and practices. and Delhi being the capital city is home to varied ethnicities. Like in any new foreign country, participants are advised to follow the guidelines specified by the project coordinator to enjoy their Indian experience fully. The program coordinators are always ready to help and give helpful safety tips. During the first day of the orientation, you will be given safety guidelines and will be informed about the dos and dont's.
